There is no attack on the "natural family", nothing that you had before has been taken or diminished
False. Marriage used to be about society providing incentives for fathers to stay with mothers, to promote and encourage the fundamental unit of society: the biologically intact natural family.
Now with Kennedy's gay marriage, the involvement is about conferring dignity. Meaning its about satiating the emotional needs of adults instead of promoting intact families for children. So now society sacrifices the best interests of children to try and apply salve to emotionally wrecked adults who have no cure for their aches.
There is no ideology or secret plan besides a wish for equal and fair treatment.
The only ingredient required is a loving and stable home and denying that to other children is doing the real harm as can be studied from numerous research.
Two comments:
1.). How sad is it that there are people in this world who don't think children deserve their mommies and daddies.
2.). People made the argument that by not lawfully recognizing gay unions as equivalent to natural ones that it was harming their adopted kids. If all the research shows adopted kids in gay families have the same or better outcomes as kids in natural families, how did this alleged harm manifest? Both things can't be true.
Please point to a credible scientific peer reviewed study that backs up your claims, that isn't from a special interest groupe.
