Huh? I thought it was super important “community leaders and business owners” that everyone knows of or should know of. Weird.

I was trying to convey how it feels different in every way to actual mardi gras. From the lack of culture, the people in the city and their attitudes down to the size of it and start of it, its all different. Maybe the krewe isn’t about that but that’s the way the article comes off to me. I was just saying don’t expect new orleans because its not the same. Its a small family event and all the wild things that make mardi gras what it is aren’t there or allowed.

That article sounds like a cringey ad for the the city, city roots and all the name dropped businesses and people involved. It projects a fake image of it and the city imo. It doesn’t feel right to me or them it seems. They asked for the opinion of someone whos been to mardi gras so yeah..
