Margaret Thatcher

From my massively biased, old coal miner family, leading to active Socialist perspective....

The negative side was that it took away social housing, that was put there for a reason.

It sounds nice in theory, but a very short term, vote winning strategy.

Even on the hard left, I find it dificult to argue against it in mainstream terms in the short term, giving workers access to capital, to most sounds great.

It took away most of our social housing, and increased ghettoisation.

It was a generational lottery, that one generation got a big finantial bonus, going further, future generations didnt have the same expectations of social housing, and are stuck in privately rented bedsits, unlikely to ever buy.
