Maria is such a common name in Brazil, that there’s a drawer only for them, in a doctor i went yesterday

I do title searching for a living (looking up real estate and legal records). You can usually search land records by the location, but for legal records it's basically impossible to search legal records for some names in an economical fashion without a date of birth or social security number. In Florida, California, and Arizona, it's Gonzales, Hernandez, Martinez or Rodriguez anything that turns into a nightmare, and Sofia, Isabella, Jose, and Carlos for first names that are so popular that if they're combined with a popular last name we'll turn it over to an independent contractor who will either spend all day sifting through the possibilities or just roll the dice, search by address only and say "nothing found" and take the insurance hit if they're wrong.

For everywhere else including all of those states, trigger names are, Brown, Smith, Thompson, Peterson, Williams, Jones, Wilson, Miller, and Robert, Lisa, Jane, Michael, David (Fuck David's, seriously), Mary, Jennifer, Linda.

If you have a common name, be a woman. You can't narrow down legal records by middle initial for women because half of them change their middle initial any time they move in with someone, but they more than make up for it with the fact that most of the time women with common names marry men with a decent name and everyone lives happily ever after until they get divorced 5-15 years later. If your name is John Smith or Robert Thomas, either file anything ever officially with a middle initial, or go blow your brains out.

And if you do die, don't fucking leave a 1/12th interest in your house to your seven grand-kids and five siblings, you dumb fucking troglodyte. Pick the most responsible one and put it as a condition of your will that they either sell the property and split the proceeds or transfer it to someone else.
