Marijuana and bi-polar

I smoke literally 24/7 haha not saying I condone it, but I don’t think it messes with my stability. I’ve been stable for a while, and I wasn’t smoking while mentally unwell. I think it’s definitely a personal thing because some people say it increases their anxiety or psychosis while others (like me) say it helps their anxiety/stress and regulate their natural moods. On the other hand, substance abuse and bipolar go hand in hand (estimated 60-70%) and I unfortunately can’t say that I’m not dependent on weed to some degree. Everybody knows weed is not chemically addictive but it’s easy to become dependent on. I would say, if weed agrees with you, there is many benefits in partaking casually. BUT, if you’re anything like me and have an incredibly addictive personally, I would be wary of starting up. It’s easy to mask my issues in life (whether bipolar or not) with the “weed bandaid” and it’s not healthy nor rewarding. Basically, I would recommend trying it and seeing if your body agrees with it. If you do decide to keep smoking, please do so in moderation because I know how easy it is to let things get out of hand. Hope this helps :)
