Marine Le Pen takes huge lead over nearest rival in new French presidential election poll

open your ears and stop to believe this shit, the french system and political landscape is not the same.

This is why I am asking you. I'm actually not really believing any shit, just obviously worried — and I openly admit(ted) that it's a worry based on ignorance about your electoral system, as someone who doesn't live in France.

Marine LePen will never be the candidate of the right, so she will have to face all the left-wing + the moderate right to win.

Unless no left-wing candidates make it to the second round, like in the 2002 election. (See, it's happened before.) Thinking about that kind of nightmare situation, my only comfort is that JM Le Pen barely got 20% of the votes back then. It's just that FN seems way more popular today than they were back then. But you French people really seem angry at your left wing these days. How likely do you think it is that there won't be any left-wing candidates in the second round this year?
