In general, I think of the left politicians as fairly self-serving and insufficiently interested in furthering their causes outside of themselves. Pelosi being self-interested is the tip of the iceberg. Hillary should never have run for president, but should have groomed a figurehead. Dick Cheney knew to do this when Geroge W ran for office. In PA this election cycle, Fetterman should have known he was done and anointed a successor. These are the most salient examples of Democrats letting their personal egos getting priority over the causes they claim to support.

Compare this to the GOP side. So many republican politicians were licking Trump's shoes after he insulted their character and even their family. Paul Ryan and Ronald Reagan both made it clear that on the GOP side, you fall in line no matter how much you were personally degraded.
