MarriageFree people of India , How is your experience?

So many things can be solved if the society stops judging people for decisions that WON'T affect them or that people rise above the temporary emotional blackmail from families which magically vanishes as soon as you say "yes"

Also, about separate accounts, yeah it's totally ok if people are cool with it but during arranged marriages, i have seen people wanting a working partner. When they find one, marriage happens, and later on, the woman is free to leave the job without facing any judgments from the society or without even worrying about the house. Even the courts rule that after marriage in India, the man has to take responsibility for the wife and provide maintainence and support even after divorce.

However, if the man decided to leave the job even temporarily while the woman is earning, it's nit taken well, neither by society including parents and inlaws, nor by the courts ( a valid reason for divorce)

I am studying right now and there are girls around me who feel offended when i say that girls have a choice to marry if they don't want to study but unconsciously have said it multiple times that "This course is really hard. I just wish koi ameer sa ladka mil jaaye.bas maza hi aa jaega"

I really don't like this 'Business transaction'
