I know people like that and before I took responsibility for changing myself, very much was like that. I say those types of things, and I'm sure I've looked autistic or like an unfeeling sociopath at times.

It's not that. There's a whole bunch of personality types that if they took a moment, they could 'see' all the signals (something aspies neurologically can not do, sadly) and yet 'choose' to steamroll over them anyway, through habit, emotional momentum--they find their thoughts and ideas and social agenda for the night more compelling than anything else-- 'that' guy or girl at the party... (oh boy do I have plenty of memories to cringe over)

They put their 'needs' (feel in control, feel important and valued, feel most competent, squash insecurity) above people's feelings and often dismiss social graces.

It's nothing special, just a combo of low agreeableness and low empathy, sometimes high neuroticism, AKA being selfish, arrogant, and too immature to see yourself from the outside.

No need to be any disorder, it's just his personality. People can theoretically change that with a lot of work, but they usually never do.
