Married MS2 Seeking Advice

It was discussed. A lot of the times I would bring up the idea of babysitter in preparation for medical school it would end up in a fight. I tried my hardest to get accepted into a medical school close to our home. I applied 4x, interviewed 3x, and wasn’t accepted. In fact, I applied the maximum number of times to get into our local medical schools. They wouldn’t let me apply anymore after 4x. I was very fortunate that I was accepted into the medical I’m at. It’s a great school. It’s the only school that gave me a chance. I’ve always discussed with my wife before we made any decisions. The issue I think is that she has a lot of people in one ear saying she’s foolish for letting her husband go to medical school. All of our so-called friends have told her this. Her family have said she is foolish for letting me go to medical school. So she feels just as trapped when she looks to those same people for advice or to vent. And my family is everything. I do this so they will have a better life than I did. I grew up poor and had to pay for college with loans. She grew up poor. She also paid for college with loans. So the idea that my family will be better off financially is a strong motivator for me.
