Marshawn Lynch not retiring, signs new deal with Seattle seahawks

I totally get that, and I wouldn't be saying anything if the dumb bastard hadn't gone off script and started blaming his players after the Superbowl, when the Headcoach and Quarterback had already stepped up to take their own piece of the blame. Dude needs to stop worrying about the Head Coaching gig nobody is offering him.

At the start of the year, the Harvin/Lynch combination looked amazing. That was an offense that had all time potential, before the mix got tilted heavy towards Percy and ruined the whole formula. That was exciting stuff from Bevell that I want to give him credit for, but I assume that's why he signed off on going after Percy despite the character concerns, and he didn't manage to keep that under control.

Outside of the Week 1 and maybe Week 3, Lynch ends up disappointingly under utilized while Harvin's overuse proves ineffective. After they pull the plug on Percy, the passing game starts coming up lame on a regular basis just as it did in 2013. The offense as a whole increasingly depended on Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson breaking tackles and transcending scheme, which isn't something you can credit the OC for.

There've been games where Baldwin and Kearse were effective, but never consistently, and while maybe the organization is just so dumb that they found themselves relying on erratic wide receivers, it seems more like a single-point-of-failure issue with the coordinator or the quarterback. Russell Wilson isn't a perfect little golden god, but I've seen plenty from Bevell here and back at Minnesota to draw my conclusions.

Anyway, none of that would have been enough for me to jump on the amateur hour play-caller bashing, but his words after the Superbowl made it open season in my book. Dude seems like he'd be great given a fantasy roster, and he's had plenty of success while working with combinations like Favre+Peterson and Wilson+Lynch, but his position is one I'd like to the organization upgrade if they get a chance.
