Martin Luther King Jr. was a Democratic Socialist

Speaking as a formerly angry, hostile person, I don't agree with your assertion.

The path of least resistance is the one you're used to following. It is hard to be a decent person. Because when you are hostile and angry at the world, angry at whoever, you don't really have to think that hard. All you have to think about is "fuck that person" and then act accordingly. Which, as surprising as people who haven't been angry don't seem to understand, feels fucking amazing. I enjoyed the conflict, the hostility, the anger.

The battle is not against cognitive dissonance. Plenty of people know they're doing wrong. They just don't care to do right, because choosing to do right and to want to change is extremely difficult.

The path of least resistance is the one you walk most often, because you're just walking home.
