Mass sexual assault reported at music festival in Germany: The attacks are similar to those reported in Cologne and other cities on New Year's Eve.

Couldn't you argue you're getting your news from the folks on the opposite side of the political spectrum, though? That your views are being biased and skewed by the left-wing news outlets with high ratings? The one's saying that migrants are all angels that don't do anything wrong? The ones that also want you to vote for them in November? Regardless of whether you identify with the left-wing or not, every side has its sources, and every side has a biased twinge on them. One news agency might say "oh no, there's not a problem" while the other says "there's a BIG problem". Hell, I'm sure you've heard about the German media being accused of trying to cover up the refugee crime numbers, regardless if you agree with the accusations or not. Unfortunately, it's hard to get any information that doesn't have biased figures on it. This applies to the both of us and everyone interested on this topic.

Like I was saying, regardless of what country you're in, rape happens, and that shit is absolutely terrible. Of course there's gonna be more locals in jail than asylum seekers because they're the majority populace in the country. Just because it's not on the news doesn't mean it's not happening. I'm not arguing with that at all. However, going back to what I was originally on about, I'm very concerned that they're not being to the same standards as a local for committing these crimes.

As far as I know, a German who committed a crime of similar stature would get a much harsher (by German law standards) punishment than a Syrian/Pakistani/Arab/whatever guy who just got into the country a few days ago and started grabbing at the first blonde woman he saw. It's compounded when they feel morally justified for what they're doing (i.e. "she was wearing skimpy clothes; she was INVITING me to do it! Western women are all whores, so it's okay for me to treat them like that!"), and they get off so easily for the atrocity that they committed. It'd be foolish to say that all these people coming to Germany want to integrate into society (not that there aren't any who are trying to integrate), but how can the country handle such a group of people? The government and police seem okay with giving them lighter sentences and telling them to behave, attributing these actions as "cultural differences". This might be understandable on the grounds that it's the German taxpayers who have to pay for their imprisonment, so they don't have to pay as much, but I still find it incredibly fucked up that they can get a lighter sentence simply because they're a foreigner. They committed a horrible crime and should be punished appropriately. It's a huge disservice to all the people who've been affected by their criminal actions, is it not?
