Massachusetts governor won’t sign facial recognition ban

Personally, I have no problem with facial recognition.

I grew up in a small town, where everybody knew either you or your parents, or your grandparents, or your teachers, it was a security that is lost in large cities. Yes, more than once an adult in a car pulled over to let me know my parents were going to hear about my actions. That is all it took to straighten me out.

Yes, it there is potential for it being misused, but address that issue.

I can see where interaction on a person to person level could be avoided all together. No need for an officer to traffic stop you. They have your address, they can send a summons. If you ignore a summons, other actions will follow.

It makes more sense to me.
