Quebec separatists are strangely quiet about Bernier's plan... Because they like it.
What Quebec separatists want:
Less federal influence in Quebec.
Cancellation of federal transfer payments that are used to "buy" votes in Quebec in favor of federalism.
Repeal of Equalization payments because the federalist side uses it as their main argument to sell federalism.
Prevent Ottawa from financing interest groups in Quebec which promote federalism and English Quebecers minority rights.
Prevent immigration from changing the culture in Quebec.
Stop the CBC (Radio Canada) from promoting federalism in Quebec.
Everything else is irrelevant
Carbon tax? Quebec runs its own program with California and Ontario... Ottawa is powerless to stop them. The Canadian government can IMPOSE a carbon tax BUT cannot forbid provinces from taxing carbon.
Ending corporate welfare? Ottawa can stop giving subsidies to corporations BUT cannot forbid provinces from giving corporate welfare.
Ending trade barriers between provinces? Ottawa cannot force the provinces to remove their tariffs on alcohol and tobacco, automobiles, which are exclusive provincial jurisdictions. Ottawa cannot either cancel environmental or recycling taxes because its provincial.
Drop corporate taxes to 10%? Ottawa can scrap its taxes but cannot force provinces to do the same.
End supply management? Too bad, supply management falls under agriculture which is an exclusive provincial jurisdiction. The so-called maple syrup, egg, milk and poultry "cartels" exist only because of a law passed in Quebec and only the Government of Quebec can repeal it.
Firearms? Mostly irrelevant since Quebec is one of the provinces where there are the fewest number of guns per capita.
Bernier is a wet dream for Quebec nationalists. I should know, I live in Quebec and know many separatists.
