May Ask A Recruiter

Any replies I am thankful for in advance and I understand if the responses received tell me to decide to think about a different career but I am put in a stressful situation in my part.

When I walked into my recruiting center for the Army the recruiter I was mainly working with was already busy taking care of somebody else so he asked a favor from another recruiter to fill out my processing packet. He fixed everything but also added onto my references. I have 4 references I believe, one being an assistant teacher at my school who was a former Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps, A buddy of mine who is also enlisting into the same recruiting center as me, Another buddy of mine who I met last June who's a chill guy. The last one is a problem. The problem here is that since I was being a massive scared pussy that I asked that recruiter if I could put my step-cousin as a reference and that's what happened. On my shipping date or earlier I'm planning to mention this when they ask "Any last thoughts or issues that you're not telling us." I plan to inform them that I used my step-cousin as a reference. If it is to happen that I am removed from the DEP and assuming you read this point on would it be smart to assume that you all are pretty upset about this and going to tell me not to try and get a career in the U.S. Army anymore? Again any replies will be helpful.

I understand recruiting is a very tough tough job but I also don't want to get in fraudulent discharge just for this petty little thing. I actually want to have a career in the Army not for the money (and not bullshitting you guys) but to better myself as an individual and learn humility and hardwork from my experience. I understand doing this stupid shit and stressing about it is already not leading in the right direction to a potential privilege to a start of a good career.

Thanks again
