It may be better to be born rich than gifted - The least-gifted children of high-income parents graduate from college at higher rates than the most-gifted children of low-income parents, finds a new study in Nature Genetics.

To argue against this is to argue against the American dream isn’t it? Trying to not be a flag waiver but I do believe this in my heart

I understand the imbalance and that we must as a society put our foot of the scale for those less fortunate but I could not have gone to the good college I did if not for my father and he shucked oyster sometimes for 12 days straight before I was born and when I was young to make that happened and that’s not something I’m embarrassed of.

His work gave me a great private high school education, which allowed me to get into a very admirable college. I appreciate that every day and the sacrifices he made. Our family shares any achievements I make and I hope to one day do the same and have my children go even farther.

Someone once told me the America dream is a lineage of 6 generations to the White House.
