I may be sent to Teen Challenge in Chatanooga.

Update: in later posts RJM said he didn't mean "mental hospitals". (Even though he mentions psychiatrist's "hospitals.")

You really are a nutcase.

Most major hospitals have psychiatric departments which treat outpatients. "Mental hospitals" as you call it, don't actually exist where I live; instead they are Psychiatric Secure Units. Only those who are a danger to others and themselves are detained in those places. There are not vast numbers of people detained in those places. The latest figures I have put the yearly figure for such detention of under 18's at approximately 150. Yes, 150 out of 60 million people - placed there by TWO independent doctors and with the approval of a judge, who keeps it under review. Scandalous!

Not at all like parental detention for no reason, without due process or reliable independent assessment!

I was hoping s/he'd say something like "I'm sorry for the miscommunication I didn't mean to say that word."

You know full well that I'm a "he". I've posted here for approaching 3 years now, so I don't believe you are constantly ignorant of that fact.

The only miscommunication is yours. Not mine. The term "mental hospital" was not mentioned by me. Seeing a psychiatrist at a hospital doesn't mean talking with someone through 9 inch glass. Strangely enough, I get a comfy chair and a cup of tea.

Instead (unfortunately) s/he'd rather downvote all my posts

No, if you look at your posts, at the moment most of them are on about -4. That clearly isn't just me, is it?

And no, I haven't actually.

But I noticed you did to mine, without justification. But whatever! If it makes you feel better!

assume because their psychiatrist was fine that somehow we can ignore the violence of psychiatry towards innocent/unconvicted people.

Ah, yes. Of course. So all those people worldwide who've had anxiety, or depression, have been met with violence by the medical profession. The rest of the world isn't the United States. Maybe you should remember that.

You give constant bad advice, and you've turned this thread into a mockery. Someone is seeking help, and yet here you are posting anti-mental health nonsense. You've done this guy a great disservice. Way to go.
