With that said - yeah, if the odds are that I was any of those things, people should be aware of that fact. If you had an adult mate that regularly hung out around school gates and chatted to schoolkids, but never actually committed a crime as far as you're aware, you'd more than likely bin him off because that's fucking weird behaviour. Similarly, if there are multiple people claiming they heard my friend say something racist, and after looking at the video of the incident, it seems like he did, I'd not defend my friend.

We make judgements on the balance of probability all the time as a society, all of us. You can make the statement that the evidence wasn't enough for you, and that's fine, but those who have more evidence than you do i.e. the FA/EFL, have made the statement that the evidence WAS enough.
