maybe this is controversial but employers should not be allowed to ghost you

Honestly what probably happened is they gave the job to somebody internally. A lot of places require you to interview others before giving the position to somebody internally. It's a massive time waste because you're just doing what the law states but you were never going to give it to anyone else. Either that or they were somehow using you as leverage to get a lower price on somebody else which is possible. But yeah, any place that makes me go through all these additional steps I ignore them. Come here, do testing, speak with this person, now speak with this person, etc. I know it won't result in a job they are just using me for whatever reason.
