Maybe a good time to think twice about calling security on students ...

WTF. Tuition is paying to be evaluated. If you want to learn you can audit a class or get a library card. Students so not have the right to show up late to class as they feel like.

There are students who show up 10+ minutes late each and every class. Some of us are in professional fields where if you show up late to an internship it is over. Those same students who show up late then disrupt the rest of the class since they missed the important stuff in the first ten minutes.

If you are teaching a poetry or politics class or something being late is no big deal. In a lab environment the beginning is when the core concepts and methodology are explained. I explain 3D printing in the first ten minutes, then students 3D print their work.

Do you have alumni that contact you for people to hire all the time? I get alumnio asking me for recommendations on people to hire all the time. Not going to recommend people who are late every day.
