Maybe a little reactionary but... how exactly do we plan on being contenders next year?

its very frustrating because why when other teams contend they contend for 5 to 6 years for the playoffs sometimes more but for us it seems like we rebuild for a very long time 4,5,6 years to only be good for like 1 year and have to rebuild again? Pedro said something in his book or in an interview I don't remember which, but what he said I always mention this on here because I think it's pretty telling. when he retired he said the difference between his time with the redsox and Mets is that with the redsox there organization did not like losing and coming in 2nd. losing was unacceptable for them. he then said when he went to the mets it was complety different. he said they were okay with where they were. winning wasn't that important for them. they were fine being where they were. I hate to say it but Mets don't have a winning organization and can't sustain success because of those greedy owners. they just don't care enough about winning. I made peace with us losing in 2015. but at the time I said we have to win this world series because when does everything ever go right for the Mets?? that year came together so good. and it seemed like destiny. from Flores crying, we were supposed to get for some reason I'm drawing a brain fart but that guy from the brewers but we didn't and got ces last second. we swept the nats and Wright did that epic roar and fist pump. speaking of the nats they collapsed right when we turned it on. so many things came together that year. I felt we had to win because I feared we would be back to where we are now with winning it in 2015 or losing it regardless.
