Maybe I live in a really ghetto city but do you guys get homeless people asking for money and food when you’re picking up an order and how does it make you feel ?

Oh yeah plus rides and unfortunately I have to avoid those interactions saying “Sorry, I’m working” and relocate. When I was going to school in my town I gave someone a ride who needed to get to a pain clinic before her jail sentence because she had lupus… well she stole my $200 gift card I had handy from an apartment that had just reimbursed me for throwing out some of my things because they falsely assumed I moved even though I still had the key. Long story… But she did that when I got out to help her. I used to drive for the local ride share/taxi company too but after a few instances I now only drive food and I warn people who are approaching my vehicle by nodding my head “No” because quite frankly a lot of people make me feel disrespected. A lot of homeless were sent here on buses in droves. I’ve heard some of them in bars calling the locals yuppies and I don’t know why but that doesn’t sit right with me either… We were a good town with many who tried to help each other, now everything is getting a little overwhelming. I have given away food when I had it many times. Technically that’s now against rules of restaurants because often you can tell where the food came from and they don’t want people claiming they got sick from free food for liability reasons.
