maybe this sub would be better if half the content wasn't relegated to a dead superthread.

There are a couple of new bikes launched every year. There are new articles and videos to discuss at least a couple of times a week. There are a bunch of interesting racing series. There are things to discuss about different classes of bikes, the merits of different models, good mods, projects and goals, your experience with a certain bike, etc. All of which is lost when you ban everything remotely related to purchasing advice.

It's not like banning all posts discussing motorcycles and motorcycle-related products leads to quality content. The front page is filled with "talk me into riding motorcycles", "I had a crash", and "my friend died, press F to pay respect".

I don't think the sub is too broad for more focused discussion, but maybe I'm wrong.
