Is MBA from colleges outside T100 even worth it?

I am you a couple of years back, a sales guy that got comfortable but somehow made it to senior manager level; I'm in my mid-30s if that helps.

Decided to go back to get my MBA to see if that may change things. I enrolled in an unranked MBA program over a T50 as it was almost 2x the price, both accepted, and a last-minute T25 (I would've prob opted for the T25 had I not already started with my classes). My reasoning was that this local unranked MBA program was unranked due to how small it is but it rivals T50 in name power in the tech field.

I did land several interviews from consulting to strategy to management to sales roles. I'd say I was disappointed in the consultant offerings as it was around $100K. Tech strategy roles offer roughly around $200k, but I didn't get it due to a lack of change management experience. Even almost land an IB/biz dev role with one of the largest companies with my MBA, but fail short on the final run several times. Someway somehow, I made a horizon move in sales that nearly double my earnings near $300K to start due to having a unique blend of experience, education, networking and etc..

My recommendation for you is to get a degree and work on your networking/sales. Screw the consultants, IB, and strategy guys, we can make a decent living out of sales too! And an MBA helps in sales more than you know it!
