McMansions: The houses that people love to hate [5:26]

But...what if I don't care about the look of the house as long as I can live inside it with no problems? Maybe because I don't pay attention to architecture but I don't care how a house looks, if it's pained pink yellow weird window or roof whatever, I just care it has 2 beds a kitchen and a living room without applicances breaking or construction out of code (which is definitely an issue with these assembly-line produced houses by cheap labor). The existence of a window being too close to another I don't think should matter if the internal floorplan is conducive to placing a bedroom next to a bedroom. Maybe I'm just blind to these neighborhoods popping up but other than having weirdly designed streets that make it impossible to shortcut on I don't see an issue with the houses themselves as much as the types of people that would move in immediately after 100+ of these get built next to say an old mom&pop street.
