[McMenamin] New story: Dwight Howard’s contract will become fully guaranteed Tuesday, sources tell ESPN, a mere formality in his improbable, yet incredible comeback season with the Lakers

I don't know what's so improbable about Howard.. definitely don't know what is incredible. The guy is a physical freak and had surgery last year.

Before he got hurt last year he was averaging 12 points 9 rebounds. The season before that he was essentially healthy all year and averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds per game. This year he's averaging almost 7 pts 7 boards.

I guess his field goal percent is up? But the man literally doesn't take jump shots and is less than 50% at the line.

Howard has been an awesome role player off the bench.. but there it's nothing improbable about it.. he just wasn't playing for the Lakers last year.. so no one cared about him.. but now he's a Laker so he's suddenly having this prolific season?

Howards career stats are shockingly ridiculous. He's averaged double digit points and double digit rebounds his entire career until his last 45 games played..

The only reason anyone cares about him right now is because he's in LA.. no one gave two shits when he was putting up 17 & 12 for an entire season in Charlotte.
