Me [25 M] with the girl I'm dating [21 F] for 6 months, how to tell her about my financial situation?

Thanks for the reply. Feel free to not respond to this if you're not feeling like it but I've got a few questions, coming from the perspective of a late 20s commodity trader.

What does your day look like? Do you code, like new strats and stuff? Or is it more like a maintenance kinda thing, make sure she's not going nuts and keep er between the lines, tweak where required? Or is it more like deep dive data writing new algos? Do you write the algos or is that separated out or more static?

Do you feel like you learned most of what you need on the job (like I do) or do you feel like the schooling was integral to performance (not just a foot in the door)?

What kind of hours do you work?

Do you think that there is a future for non algorithmic traders in finance going forward, or is it, in your opinion, time to jump ship and learn to code properly (not just my mad VBA/SQL chops)?

What would one learn if they wanted to get with the program? Like what are the valuable languages or systems, etc.

If you were to go back to school now, what would you take? Assuming looking for a career and not just interest.

I'd love to talk to you a bit more, but also I'm an internet stranger. Know that I don't want anything from you or anything like that, I'm just curious, and honestly, never ever get to meet high performers outside of my little bubble at work, so would love to talk to ya.

Thanks. Hope everything works out the way you want it to!
