I just paused the movie to show my SO your comment and he is not in the light politically speaking and could care less so I'll share with y'all what I said to him relating to your comment:

In 2008 I was in a technical school down south where I live. My sociology teacher was from NYC and made us watch and report on the Obama inauguration which I had to watch against my will.

So I'm sitting in class one day when she spouts out "wouldn't it be great if everyone made the same amount of money?". I perked up and raised my hand, and this is all that came to mind to say: "Why would someone want to go to college for 8-12 years to be a heart surgeon or whatever if you're gonna make as much as a welder? And what if you were into cars and wanted a Ferrari? It seems like it would kill dreams." Again this was 2008. No one in my life was spouting socialism at this point. I had never thought about socialism before her comment. "Well heart surgeons don't make that much anyways" was all I can remember.

It's so weird to think back on that and to have caught a glimpse of the liberal propaganda going on in a school. Btw there were a lot of the democratic plantation peeps that I love to death in my class. Of course it sounded good to them that everyone made the same amount of money.
