Me looking for a new game on Steam

All new games on steam:

  • Interactive story that lasts for 4 hours and gives you an existential crisis and temporary depression when you've finished! Isn't it so clever and innovative though? Throw in a bit of smug, dark humour to taste.

  • Anime characters! Look at their giant eyes! YUCK

  • 8-bit 8-bit 8-bit 8-bit 8-bit 8-bit squares squares squares squares pixels pixels pixels pixels millennial smugness millennial smugness millennial smugness millennial smugness millennial smugness

  • Triple-A title! Spend 10 hours downloading this. Thousands and thousands of menus to click through before you can even start. Trillions and trillions of objects to upgrade in a buggy world. Increase your character's numbers (why?). Standard FPS gameplay.

  • Clever indie thing making a clever observation about how life works / worked. Isn't this a clever concept for a game? Aren't we clever? You have to make decisions which cleverly reflect something clever we've observed cleverly about life.

  • EARLY ACCESS! Early access

  • Remake of a game you played when you were 12. You'll love playing this again for another 10 minutes if you played it when you were 12. If you didn't play it when you were 12 it won't make any sense whatsoever.

  • Shitty thing simulator! Isn't it funny that we simulated a thing that you wouldn't normally enjoy doing in real life? You'll find it so funny and clever! Until you realise that the game is boring and you spent actual money on this. The joke's on you!!

  • Most generic game ever from a low budget eastern european game company! 10 hours of shooting identical things in identical corridors.

  • We made a VR headset! Please buy it! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Never mind that even cheap laptops now are incredibly powerful and not everybody wants to have a hot head and throw up everywhere while playing. Try our VR toilet cleaning game! VR tax filing game! VR driving to work game!

  • Game where they've actually thought about what you'll actually be literally and physically doing, and made that enjoyable (the actual game), with lots of variety? Backed up by a story that motivates you? And graphics that aren't super realistic but are immersive? And for people with jobs who can only really play for 30 minutes a day? Only a handful of those!
