Definitely take it - life's doesn't only seem greener on the other side - it demostrably is. Not speaking from personal experience, but I have it from very reliable sources.

Having a nice house in a nice neighborhood with nice cars and nice vacations are good things. Send your kid to a good school. Don't feel guilty for a second.

And forget trying to be the 'nice' manager. First, who wants that albatross around their neck holding them back. Also, once on the other side, sooner or later your perspective will change. That's just how humans work.
