Me and my brother made a Bridge for school that held 65 pounds!

We had a competition for something like this when i was in high school - it was our first spaghetti bridge building competition back in the 90s. These bridges were almost identical size to the one in the pic here, just minus the support legs under the main road part.

The main rule was that you could only use one box of spaghetti and you could only glue two pieces together side by side, no bigger than that, little beams if you will.

Elmers glue and one box of spaghetti that was it...

I dropped my bridge when arriving at school, i was trying to hold it lightly so i didnt crush it and the car door swung back and knocked it out of my hands. So my bridge held a total of zero pounds - great success lol.

The winning bridge - held so fucking much - the stack of weights got like 4-5 feet tall, was leaning slightly and was SUPER dangerous. They had to stop the competition and later bring in a hydraulic press to crush it.

It held something insane like 5,500+ lbs before breaking!
