Uncle Ruckus would like a word. I've met a couple black people who are pretty racist against black people (in particular more "ghetto" black people) because they feel like they get profiled/targeted/have a harder time getting a job because of the way a vocal minority of their race acts. I've seen a similar thing from white people from the south who actively try to hide their accent because of the connotation that southerners are less intelligent. I disagree with the sentiment of this post because I feel like there aren't really a ton of white people who hate other white people for being white, it's more that they don't want to get lumped in with a vocal minority of white people who are bigoted/racist, so feel like they have to try extra hard to prove that they aren't like that. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
