Notes:

Engineers are arguably the weakest class in ME1 (though they are stronger in later games in the series), and Medic is arguably the weakest passive evolution in the game too. Unless a player wants to just try a build that utilizes what the Medic passive offers to the fullest, your better off playing the Operative Engineer, or better yet, the Operative Infiltrator.

One of the unique features going Medic offers is, once maxed out, enabling Medi-gel use to revive fallen comrades. This removes the need for Basic Unity via 4 points typically placed in Spectre Training, though the player has to wait a lot long until Shepard can max out the passive Medic talent.

There's a choice provided for the bonus talent; either Barrier for more durability or Singularity for more control.
