The Media Needs To Stop Rationalizing President Trump’s Behavior

It's a huge problem among white Americans, and one that white America needs to continue addressing. But don't absolve PoC that voted Trump, as if there aren't any issues there either. It wasn't like 5 people. The "Trump problem" and the "white America" problem are in a parallel orbit, but there are other satellites out there as well and they contribute their own gravity to the dynamic.

My problem with the "white people are 100% of the problem" approach at what is wrong with America today is that it takes a very clear, and very major PART of the problem, and simply removes focus from everything else. White America can't solve this crisis on its own. To expect us to do so WILL result in failure. We must change, as a demographic, but so too must ALL OTHER DEMOGRAPHICS in this country. A positive outcome to the rot in American society isn't a future within which white culture changes, and everyone else stays the same. It's one within which we have all changed, and the puzzle at that point looks different. The pieces all fit in a new configuration. Sure, most of the pieces are "white", demographically, but you can't just change the shapes of those pieces and only those pieces and expect the puzzle to ever fit again.

We all must change. White people perhaps have some of the biggest changes, and perhaps most difficult, but EVERYONE is going to have to change if this is going to fucking work.
