[Media] Not that what i call a bait <3

Well, in the anime, she suddenly turned a lot meeker and more passive in the second half and became this almost angelic perfectly selfless and devoted girl. I honestly preferred when she was bashing in Subaru's head with a flail.

So are you saying that Rem isn't supposed to be more passive and meeker in Arc 3, and/or are you saying that Rem is portrayed more passively and meeker in anime's Arc 2 than in LN's Arc 2? I honestly can't see that Rem would constantly want to bash Subaru's head in Arc 3 after what Subaru says to her in episode 11.

Various scenes from the novels, ones that were altered in the anime, show her behavior as a tad more devious and cunning. She's definitely the sort of girl who would stoop to dirty tricks if it got her what she wanted, and she wouldn't feel guilty about it either.

Uuuuuuuum........this all feels like what Ram would actually do to Subaru, given her outward disgust towards him.

But the short of it all is this. She's less the angel the anime makes her out to be, and more of an unhinged stalker who has six diaries recording his every move, and a regular habit of watching him sleep and barely restraining herself from doing a lot more to him while he sleeps.

Funny thing about that, Re:Petit's episode 7 actually parodies Subaru's and Rem's conversation in Re:Zero's episode 18 by literally having Rem write a doujinshi that lists EVERYTHING about Subaru right down to his physical features and sleep schedule. That entire bit was just hilarious to me! You should definitely check out the Re:Zero chibi series, it'll be worth your time.

In short, while maybe 1 or 2 things might not have been translated into the anime, I actually feel that most of what you said about Rem is already hinted or displayed in Arc 2 and 3, albeit in short bits but they're still there. Most notably, her tunnel-vision in episodes 9, 10, 15, and 17, her unbalanced emotions in episodes 7 and 17, and her extreme conclusions in episodes 6, 7, 9, 14, 15, and 17. So again, I feel like Rem is portrayed fine and does indeed showed enough extreme actions without it hammered into our heads, so I still have no problems with it and still like Rem in the end.
