The medical staff of an organ-donation operation bow to pay tribute to 17-year-old female organ donor who has saved multiple human lives.

I agree with Hoserb2k, the first time feels just overall weird. Especially when you spend the whole case keeping everything pristine only to do the quick organ removal steps when you pack the donor with ice to protect the organs. I think it does make it easier though when you remember why you do this, and it is one of the most positive operations you can do when you take the organ you procure and then transplant it into another person and see your outcome. The dramatic improvement in QOL (quality of life) for the recipient is truly amazing, and on top of that, you know it wasn't just your patient, it was every single person that received a life saving organ whose life was improved by what you've done that makes you feel okay with getting the call and going to procure those organs.
