Medical Student Stabs a Patient Because He Made Fun of Her 'She/Her' Nameplate

As a Minneapolitan, I am often shocked by how a small, vocal cohort of nutjobs have managed to exploit our patience, and generosity. It is weird because Minneapolis' Rust Belt, economic success story comes down to some very conservative, pro-family, pro-business policies that attracted a lot of companies, and young, educated families, with roots in the Midwest, to relocate here.

As a result, we are a very family centric city, where it is not unusual to see kids as young as five walking by themselves to the nearest park. It doesn't matter what one's personal politics are. At some point our natural instincts to protect our kids take over, and these instincts are overwhelmingly in line with conservatism. At least around, me that's what is quietly happening amongst my more liberal neighbors. They've started getting their kids out of the local public schools. They started are asking more questions about their kids' friends parents, they monitoring media usage, etc.
