Medicine entry

ATAR is 40% of an application for UofA med. You need a high enough UCAT to get an invitation to interview, then domestic applicants are ranked on 20% UCAT, 40% interview, 40% ATAR. Realistically and given how competitive it is, your ATAR is on the lower end but certainly feasible if you interview very well and have a very strong UCAT result.

If you start your UofA studies in a different degree, you can apply for transfer during Year 1 or Year 2 if your program. More places are reserved for transfer for Health and Medical Science students than students in other programs. Transfer students still sit the UCAT and attend an interview, but your GPA will be used instead of your ATAR.
