Sore throat started Wednesday with a mild cough. Body aches started Saturday with acid reflux/lack of appetite. Now the cough is chronic. Sore throat is gone. No fever, only a headache.

I called the helpline earlier today and they said I’m too young to be tested. I could get tested for the flu or influenza to rule those out. I can’t get tested unless I’m 65 and have a fever. Advice was for me to shelter in place, but I share custody and will need to take my daughter back to her dad. Staying home is off the table as I could be charged with kidnapping if I violate our court orders. I just hope I don’t have it as his mother is elderly and my mother is a smoker in her 60s. This virus will wreck both of them.
