There has to be something that can be done to circumvent the gridlock that America's prosperity is held hostage in.

There isn't. When the public elects a majority of Republican senators, and when the majority leader (Mitch McConnell) decides to follow a doctrine of partisan procedure e.g. never bringing something to a vote unless he knows the votes will fall in his favor, we are politically paralyzed.

Of all the scumbags in the modern Republican Party, McConnell will be remembered as the worst of them all. No one has ignored his Constitutional duty as much as Mitch McConnell. He has abused his power to warp all 3 branches of government.
