Megathread: Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme Court by Senate 50-48

In still not sure what you’re trying to tell me. Is it that we can vote, then see Democrats do something like pass the ACA, but then we get to see Republicans dismantle what Democrats did and hope some of it sticks?

And with the Supreme Court picks Obama’s picks needed 60 votes right? Once Trump was elected McConnell changed it to 50 and they confirmed 2 judges. 1 of which was overtly partisan. I’m still feeling pessimistic about a process that allows partisan judges to be confirmed so easily. I also don’t see progress when Republicans dismantle something like the ACA and we are just hoping most of it is still intact. I guess the pre-existing coverage is still intact and that is very good. Costs don’t seem lower and the mechanism for making them lower is gone too. It’s not all terrible but it looks like not much is getting better.

I’m mostly rambling. It’s just not clear what you’re trying to tell me. I feel like you’re just wanting to play devils advocate for things I say but with no other goal or point to make. But I could be wrong. I’m not claiming to be the smartest person.
