Megathread: COVID-19 Opinions, Vents and Rants(May 7th, 2020)

The people here saying this will last forever, there have been countless events in history that people thought would last forever. I don't know how long this will last and it's lasting much longer than it should. But I'm sure people during WWII thought there was no good future to look forward to. (I hate comparing this to WWII, or any way for that matter, but the doomers seem to want it to be worse.) When nuclear weapons were first invented, people seemed sure that we would all be bombed into oblivion any day. Yet now we hardly think of that threat. I'm sure during the US Civil War people thought the country could never be united again. Everything feels permanent in the middle of it. This too shall pass. To the people feeling hopeless, I understand. I have my hopeless days, but I have hope today. This will end.
