Megathread: FBI Director Comey fired

Uhh Trump/his team are still under multiple investigations. Here's a story on one of the FBI's

or another reminder: Comey was leading an investigation into whether Trump's campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election

Why did Sessions act with the Deputy AG if he recused himself? ("I have received the attached letters from the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General")

Why didn't Trump fire Comey earlier? Why did Trump praise Comey for getting the Clinton investigation back in the headlines right before the election, then claim that was the reason for firing him?

"Suspicious" is an understatement. Everyone knows at this point Trump wanted to fire Comey and got his AGs to supply him an excuse. This has never happened before; if the President is under investigation for serious misconduct it's extremely unethical to fire the head of the investigators. Why not wait 'til it clears him? Why not wait 'til that other investigation covering Comey's conduct was complete?
