Megathread for COVID-19 impact on consulting jobs (current consultants, incoming full-time hires and interns, prospective candidates)

It is the exact same role with the exact same training. I figured that about the pay structure, although I won't really be working closely with the European people. Just training with them virtually (alongside the Chicago people) until my work authorization gets approved.

What frustrates me is that I've tried getting a cohesive answer out of them for months, and even a few months ago I asked an HR person on the phone if I would still be getting paid the same and he told me that he would prefer to stick to the contract I originally signed (the US one). Then, yesterday, they said they're going to pay me as a European. They still haven't sent me the European contract yet.

Also, a co-worker of mine is working remotely in Europe with me, but she has a US passport so they're paying her the US rate she originally signed for.
