Okay, so in line with Venom Snake not being BB and building upon further speculations that he could potentially be Gray Fox (which I initially really had a hard time believing, but I am starting to budge...) has anyone noticed the similarity in their poses in the promo art for TPP and the Shinkawa Gray Fox drawings? (If this has pointed out already, I apologize). If Venom Snake truly is not Big Boss, I would have a hard time seeing anyone else fill his footsteps so closely on the battlefield (in terms of sheer skills, etc.). I know we still could theoretically consider Solidus as being a potential candidate, but if he aged that rapidly in the 9 year coma, there would be no way in hell he would not be close to death in MGS2. He aged like 50+ years in 9. The events of TPP take place in 1984 whereas the Big Shell events took place in 2009...25 years later! No way he'd still be alive and well (unless he was somehow preserved in the mean time).
The whole idea that it's just a medic seems far fetched. If anything (again, assuming Venom is not BB) he would have to be Frank Jaeger.
Also, about Ishmael, it would not make sense in terms of Sutherland being the VO, but have we out ruled Ocelot yet? The reason I ask is because it would allow him to steer Venom Snake even more if this whole TPP story arc turns out to be S3 oriented (essentially making Gray Fox the first Snake soldier experiment). This would also be very much in line with the speculations of PythonSelkan.
