[Megathread] iPhone 7 & 7 Plus Preorder and General Discussion

I want to get the iPhone 7 128 GB in Black by trading in my iPhone 6 16 GB in Gold. The website crashed when I tried to order so I called customer service on Wednesday. She assured me that I could go into the store on Friday and do the trade-in in person without needing to change my lines or my phone plans. I went in to the store on Thursday to double check with them and they said that I now have to sign up for the T-Mobile One plan. I called customer service and spoke with Ruby at 4:27 PM PT on Thursday. She told me the same thing. After I explained my situation, she said her manger or supervisor was able to authorize her to process the deal without changing my plan. She said she would call me back between 8-9 PM to process my order with my IMEI, credit card, and shipping information. Ruby did not call me back. When I called customer service back, they said they could try to contact Ruby and her supervisor. In fact, the name of the supervisor that she gave to me apparently didn't even exist! I called back today and spoke with Janine and her supervisor Janus, but they said they could not help me and Ruby could not help me. Somebody is lying! Does anybody know how I can get this fixed? I don't want to pay an extra $40/month for service that I do not need. I would have done the trade-in earlier, but customer service told me that I would be fine by just going in to the store on Friday without any plan changes!
