It was an unforced error and being used as ammo it it really sucks. But I'm not going to lie, on a personal human level, I understand her mistake. I occasionally get old news confused with new news confused with old numbers confused with these other numbers over the latest covid stuff. My solution has been stop talking about it conversationally. If I'm going to talk specifics, I look it up first immediately before discussing it. I no longer trust my brain that has been overloaded and fatigued with ever-changing data for two years.

She has absolutely no excuse shooting numbers off the cuff in job that basically is citations. On a personal level, I'm right there with her though.
