Megathread: Trump says he deliberately played down the threat of Coronavirus in recorded interview with Bob Woodward

His downplaying still resulted in that, but with more deaths. So yeah, I'd have appreciated the truth so people who listen to him would've worn their masks. So PPE wasn't a political topic, and tribalized to the point of sheriffs banning masks in the work place. So an armed mostly masked "protest" bent out of shape over haircuts wouldn't have stormed my state capitol about their infringed imagined rights. So that same group would be accosting staff at stores regarding masks policies, because now that they have haircuts masks are too fucking much to tolerate and once again their imagined rights are being infringed. Trump could've told the truth, but instead he lied, and actively worked against a coherent national response.
