Agreed. I was liberal as can be during college and the few years afterwards while living in my la-la land college town. As most people do, I became a bit more conservative as I got older, lived and worked in the real world, etc.

I was disappointed with Obama, but didn't hate him. I disliked Bush Jr, but didn't think he was the anti-Christ. And while I think Hillary was an awful candidate, it's obvious that she is a smart person, probably would have been an average leader, but was smeared pretty unfairly by her haters. That's politics.

But the left have gone bat shit crazy in the past few years, and have become almost comical since Trump.

10 years ago in college, an ultra leftist commie trans-feminist and skin-headed neo-Nazi may not have agreed on everything, but they'd be able to sit down and have a debate.

Now? Fuck the Constitution cause Hate Speech, punching those you disagree with is okay because something something Nazis. Identity politics, everyone who disagrees with me is a racist, nazi, xenophobe. Trump is a KGB agent, Trump is going to start WW3, Trump murders kittens.

It's absurd. And the sad thing is that once decent media outlets, while always biased, have become no better than any other click bait propaganda source (looking at you NYTimes, WAPO, the three major networks, etc).
